LOOKING FOR LINCOLN 2009

From now through 2009 there will be many events relating to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln. Because Lincoln is closely associated with Logan County we will endeavor to maintain a select listing here.

Logan County G&H Lincoln Lore Project    The Logan County Genealogical & Historical Society is collecting family lore related to Abraham Lincoln.

Postville Courthouse Reproduction    The original Postville Courthouse was purchased by Henry Ford who put it in his Greenfield Village Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.

Mt. Pulaski Township Historical Society Events    Mt. Pulaski is home to one of only two original in place courthouses where Lincoln practiced law.

The Lincoln Log    This is a daily chronology of Abraham Lincoln. Unfortunately they had to use public records and the courthouse in Lincoln burnt in 1856. It remains an excellent Lincoln resource.

Lincoln Circuit Markers    If you lived in central Illinois you've probably seen these.

Abraham Lincoln Tourism Bureau of Logan County    A home grown listing of Abraham Lincoln connections to Logan County.
